Startup investors have recently left SE Europe empty-handed, saying teams need to course-correct faster to be investable. The startup world is full of founders saying: "I wish I knew that sooner." They learned lessons, but didn't adapt on time.
We'll speed up your progress, so you hit mini-Seedcamp with a higher speed and a more credibile attitude.
"Fast-track bootcamp to show you how to fail fast."
"Breaks down the issues to tackle to get an idea off the ground."
Salim teaches founders how to get traction quickly. He founded 5 startups, his early successes ironically funding his later failures. So he started Leancamp, an event to dig into what really works, which now keeps it real across 14 cities and two continents. Salim is also handsome.
Carlos is a Partner at Seedcamp, and one of Europe's most respected investors. Carlos was also a communication technology engineer for The New York Stock Exchange, and a network security consultant for global telecoms companies. In spite of this, he is surprisingly funny.
A lot of it is revealing the unsaid: skills that fast founders develop; unspoken norms, rules and details that open doors; and new attitudes to help you understand if you're on the right path.
You'll learn the skills and tools necessary to get in front of the right customers, understand them quickly, and expertly evaluate your many options with imperfect information. We'll share the toolset that's used to get traction in over 20 accelerators.
We adapt the course content for your current startup goals.
You won't find standard Lean Startup methodology here. The content we develop is based on *actual founder experience* from our direct interviews - not consultants frameworks - so you learn what works. This stuff isn't in books or blogs.
The day is organised to cover various topics, and we alternate between actually using the tools we learn on our startups, and group discussions that sharpen our thinking skills.
This workshop is designed tech startups who have launched or are already in direct customer contact.
Most of the stories & examples will be of tech startups (but we've been known to touch on innovative breakthroughs in restaurants, airports, and taxi cabs.)
We'll refund any ticket, for any reason. Dog threw up on the carpet and you need to stay at home scrubbing? Refund! Came along and found it wasn't quite for you? Refund!
We just want to make an awesome day and help you move your business forward. If that doesn't happen, the ticket price should go back into your bootstrapping fund.
We don't go into any depth on team building, legal or accounting issues, or product management. We also avoid using any buzzwords (lean startup has way too many!) and do our very best not to give you any case studies or examples you will have heard before. Novelty ahoy.
Yes, you're welcome to join us at Mini-Seedcamp in other cities!
Yep. Course Correction is a wonderful gift!
